System upgrade success for cardfactory

A bumper summer of projects for the Retail Response team concluded with the successful rollout of Flooid’s new software solution across cardfactory’s UK and Republic of Ireland estate.

Working in partnership with Retail Response, cardfactory and software provider Flooid, our nationwide network of technicians were on hand to successfully upgrade the RAM, SSD, and Software solution on cardfactory’s HP and Flytech PoS systems.

Led by Lee Van Der Veer, Head of Store Technology at cardfactory, and Ryan Tucker, Service Account Manager at Retail Response, more than 4,000 PoS upgrades took place across more than 1,100 sites from May through to July. Thanks to a streamlined approach, the upgrades were completed in just 11 weeks.

Our technicians completed in excess of 30 store upgrades per day, with installations taking place before and after store opening hours in order to achieve zero disruption to customers and cardfactory retail colleagues. The new solution provides a platform which enables cardfactory to support business growth by creating smooth, personalised experiences for their customers across various omnichannel touchpoints.
