Royal Mail Group - Payment Device Rollout

 

In the summer of 2020, with the UK in the middle of a nationwide lockdown, services that did remain open were widely encouraged to shift to card only payments.

​

This accelerated the decision of RMG to ensure all of their delivery offices were capable of processing card transactions. As an RMG approved supplier BT were tasked with installing the network infrastructure, with Secure Retail providing the payment devices and installation. As a trusted partner with nationwide engineering cover Retail Response were selected to complete the on-site installation.

Project Information

Rollout schedule accelerated

The customer asked Retail Response to condense the rollout schedule, and we were able to complete all installations in two weeks rather than the three originally planned.

​

Training completed on site

​

As well as signing-off the installation, Retail Response engineers took site managers through a crash course in the use of their new technology - all signed off and fed back to the customer the very same day.

​

P2PE Compliant Rollout

 

From storage and configuration; right through to shipment, installation, and sign-off, every aspect of the rollout was completed in line with strict P2PE protocols.
